this guy says that there are stripes all on the left side of the TV and my research tells me that this is a pretty common problem but no one seems to say what it is that needs replaced. I want to have at least a decent working knowledge of what may be wrong with the TV before I spend the money on it. I'm thinking either the y-sus or z-sus but any suggestions would help. Thanks!!

Re: Thinking of buying lg du-42py10x
How about taking a decent picture of the TV? If the stripes are horizontal, the problem is probably a bad Y buffer. If they are vertical, it's either the X-buffer or the panel.
Given the age of that TV, anything over $25 is too much to pay.

by Petros_ZHello, I have the TV of the title and it has problem with the led stripes. The code of the stripes is VES315WNDA-01. Also on the chassis there is a code "Model VES315WNDS-01". Searching for spare parts I found that there are led stripes for each of those codes. I don't know if someone had changed them before. Based on what code should I order the spare parts? From led stripes or chassis?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English. -
Hi,
Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)
In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....-

I have Hisense H55U7B TV with no picture, only big vertical stripes. I did several tests and I'm not sure, where is problem.
1. Connected tcon to 12V, white, red, green, blue, black picture visible in cycle on full LCD without error
2. Connected only left side of LCD to tcon, big stripes
3. Connected only right side of tcon, visible normal picture on the right. Working as expected.
Where could be problem?

by korsar86Hey, everybody.I'm asking for your help. Brought this TV in to replace the backlight. After replacing the backlight there are such stripes (see photo).
The glass is not broken, decoders are intact, everything was done very carefully and in antistatic gloves. The experience of disassembling such diagonals is great. I do not understand what is the reason for such stripes that appear a couple seconds after turning on.
Loops rewired, wiped them with alcohol, the connectors are clean. Who by experience can tell me why this happened? Perhaps at the reception did not notice when shining the...1 Photo04-23-2024, 12:29 AM -
by ahoonidHey everyone,
I bought a MacBook A1990 with no screen. I bought it knowing the motherboard was defective but wasn't sure what the problem was until I received it. It actually turns on but as you see from the attachment, it has vertical stripes, on an external screen!!
The board is neat. Not opened before for sure. Just a little dust, nothing more.
Recovery using wifi can be opened, as can also be seen in the photo but it doesn't go all the way through after connecting it to a wifi. It downloads the initial Recovery files but never completes the rest of the... - Loading...
