Hi
I'm trying to fix my neighbours tv, this is the first time I've been inside a tv.
I plugged it in to the mains and found nothing happening at all. Took the tv to bits and found that the fuse on the power board had blown, I removed the faulty fuse soldered a new one on, put the tv back together and pop, blown again, I've noticed that one of the transformers is black and sooty on the outside so suspect this has blown didn't notice this before changing the fuse.
Problem is am a looking at a faulty power board or is something else causing the board to blow, i dont want to buy a new board for it to blow again as soon as power is applied.
