    Westinghouse SK-26H735S -- No Power?

    Hello.
New user here, stumbled onto the site while trying to scour Google for my issue here...

Was given a relatively "new" Westinghouse LCD TV by some friends, whom, after a recent lightning storm, found that the TV would no longer turn on.

The only sign that the TV was receiving any power at all was/is that the SPDIF optical output port flashes like a spastic 2-year-old as soon as you plug it in. No response to any controls, no other lights, no sound (though I didn't try actually plugging in to the optical)....just nothing. Seemingly dead TV.

Tried replacing the obvious power supply unit first. No change, same issue/symptoms. So, that seems to be good.

Next piece in line is the main board.
But, since trial and error diagnosis is a little on the expensive side, I thought I'd get a few opinions and expert guesses on the issue first.

You just replaced the PSU? I would have thought it would have been repairable. Anyway... check the voltages on the connectors going to the main board. A picture of the connector would be helpful.

I have seen alot of people replace power supplies (cheaper sometimes) when they really needed a main board (more expensive and sometimes hard to find).

storms seem to take out the main board more than the power supply.
