Samsung LN32b360 no power, no indicator

So my TV of 14 months just went out...its the samsung ln32b360. i don't have much experience in TV repair but i wanted to try since my TV isn't old and if its a cheap part maybe i can get it done. I have some experience to electrical repair. the TV stopped working completely after a power outage at my house. No red indicator light or anything.

I took out the power board for the Samsung LN32b360.

    Capacitors all look ok.
I went to check diodes with my DMM. found one of the diodes had flow in both directions, while all others checked out fine. it was ZD804 on the board. if this is the problem, can i get the diode from an electronic store or would i need to order it from digikey?

    any help would be great.

Sounds like you found the problem. Here is another post with the same set to confirm.

Yea I saw that thread. Now would I need to order from digi key or can I get a diode from some store like radio shack?

You should be able to find the numbers on the part and order it or an equivilent on digikey. They have a great search on their site.

So I read 1n4740 on the diode?

Looks like there's a few with 1n4740a so would it make a difference?

You should be good with those.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
              by PantherDave
              Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

              Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Samsung The Frame TV no power indicator issues diagnosing the one connect box
              by EazyBone
I got a qn65ls03ta from someone who stated shows no power at all. They said they bought a fully new tv (same one) and tested the one connect box from the old one onto the new one and said it worked.

I have no reason not to believe them, so I crack open the TV and test for voltages on the main board. There are none. I can't get any voltage at all. (Power comes from one connect to Main board then sends power to additional power board for backlights I believe)

While doing some digging I found the connection to the one connect cable ON the main board seems to be missing small...

              Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA No power
              by mrtek
              Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
              Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
              LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...
