    42PF7321D/37 Philips 42 flashing

Replaced the 2 capacitors that were bulged because of no picture. After changing I powered up with out the cover on and seen a flash from the board. Now I am getting 6 flashes. The fuse f008 is blown 2 amp fuse. I was wandering if anyone else has seen this. I am going to try to replace the fuse when I can get one but I assume something else is wrong. I don't know if the fuse was already blown before cap replacement. The new capacitor are not bulged and did not smoke when powered up. Polarity is right. I have replaced capacitors in a Sanyo TV and it worked out perfect and is still working 6 months later. So I have a little experience. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

That is the EP1.1U.AA chassis; the service manual is available on scribd.

6 blinks indicates a problem with the 5V supply. What capacitors did you use as replacements?

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
      by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
      by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
      The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

HP Probook 640 g8 break Fuse / Flashing BIOS with 5V instead auf 3,3 CH341A
      by martin86
      Hi,

i had a HP 640 G8 with a DA0X8AMB8E0 Board. I would Flash the BIOS, but i used a CH341A Programmer with 5V instead auf 3,3. Then I thought the BIOS was now defective. I have already replaced it with a new one (flashed the same BIOS).

With the new chip, the notebook has the same error. The charging port lights up once and then goes out again. The notebook does nothing more.

I iced the board with a cooling spray to possibly find a chip that gets hot or has a short circuit. Unfortunately, I didn't find any. I suspect a fuse might have blown. Does anyone...

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
      by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

Philips Pus 436401/12 flashing backlights question
      by KevM
hi had loads of help from this forum getting TVs back up and running but seem to be hitting a brick wall with this one.
Backlights failed before Xmas so ordered a new set and after replacing them and putting the set back together was delighted to see it work for 15 seconds only for the picture to flash on and off and a quick look round the back confirmed the backlights were flashing on and off

I have a steady 44v at +vled and a fluctuating 0v to 10v at -vled when the light start flashing, a steady Bl-on voltage and steady dim voltage.
If i disconnect 2 strings of leds...
