Re: LG Plasma 42P744 vertical lines
Well, that's about the best I can do with the information you gave. If you had spent a few minutes with a camera, then attached a picture, I could give a more definitive answer.
This problem is due to either the logic control card, the X buffers, or the plasma panel itself. If the pattern is in a repeating pattern it's most likely the logic control card. If there is no pattern it's the buffers or the panel. Since the buffers are usually bonded to the conductive tape, either of the last two causes is unrepairable.
Pictures help us help you.

Re: LG Plasma 42P744 vertical lines
Thanks for the reply
Apologies but I only have a very basic knowledge of these things if its not a simple part replacement I was hoping to get a replacement board or if I can narrow it down have it looked at by a friend who is much better at this stuff
The pattern on the screen is constant in all inputs although it has flickering pixels within the lines on the screen
Can you tell me what connections go in / out too the logic control card to help me identify it and I will strip the card out and photograph it back and font properly and post themComment

Re: LG Plasma 42P744 vertical lines
The logic control board is behind the main board. The main board is the board with the input connectors.

by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

This Samsung PN50B430P2D Plasma has this big block of vertical lines which will fade in shortly after turning the TV on. The lines will sometimes flicker a bit or fade in/out and sometimes it just stays present. The length of time it takes them to appear varies, sometimes its a few minutes and other times it appears immediately after powering on.
I have attached an image of the TV with these bars displaying.... -
by FalkiHello there, ive recently found an older 55inch Samsung SmartTV.
Sadly it has vertical lines at the left and one line in the middle-right.
I have already tested out the connections and have looked at the soldered ribbons of the LCD panel to see if some contacts got loose by pushing them a bit but with no success.
I have factory resetted the TV as well but also with no luck.
I am afraid that it is indeed a LCD Panel issue but there are NO scratches or any impact-marks..
A similar issue has been posted as well but also with no actual response ...6 Photos -
First. it has no picture at all. i solved it by covering the ckv lines using tape to to block the connections
Second. now has picture but with vertical lines that follow the image. tcon board ic overheating
tried blocking LC lines too, but same results
is it lcd panel issue or tcon board issue?... -
Friend of mine has a Samsung Plasma panel with some vertical lines that are starting to form on the screen.....Ive never worked on a plasma panel, so Im not sure what to look for, would this typically be a main board issue, or something else?
Any help would be appreciated.....Please let me know....... - Loading...
