    VO42L FHDTV10A - fixed but flicker??

    Hi,

I replaced the inverter boards (slave was bad- burn't out video chip)
put in the newer revision 1.3 boards.

Now if I put the backlight below 90% the whole screen will flicker progressively worse the lower the backlight.

Never had that problem before - don't need to burn my eyes out watching it

    any ideas? power supply issues?

    Thanks in advance,

    Andy

I just picked up a similar style 42lg30-ua and it has the master/ slave set up. I have read that you should replace the master and the slave in pairs (not sure if this is true).

I don`t know alot about these, but I think they work together more than they work apart. You might need to keep the revisions the same as well.

I replaced both inverter boards with the replacements.
Now I have to keep backlight over
      90% or I see flicker

Also, if I turn on dynamic range I get the flicker.

      Otherwise works fine ...!?

Anyone else notice this with 1.3 revision of these LG
      Inverters?

      Thanks
      Andy

I repaired my slave inverter and I also had three burned out ccfl bulbs.
        AU-OPTRONICS panel.
After replacing ccfls tv was fine. No more inverter buzzing. I took used ones out of another panel.

AU-OPTRONICS had a couple of different ccfls. I was able to use the pin style but had to solder them in place.
