    Samsung PS-50C96HD 50" Plasma

as a keen reader of this forum, i have always found solutions to my problems to you guys on here, its time for me have my 2 pennys worth.

just got a Samsung PS-50C96HD 50" Plasma tv - the seller stated that the picure has gone but sound still present.

got it home today, plugged all cables in. pressed power, led light comes on, no picture, no sound - pressed source button to see if i can catch sound from either hdmi or tv coax input - again nothing. pressed power to turn off- led light blinks then goes off, so i presumed its power is ok.

but my first thought was to double check power supply board, no blown caps, all fuses ok.

on checking the y sus and z sus, i came across a burn mark on the y buffer upper (PICTURE 4 & 5) now if this board has gone - would it cause no picture at all?

just need to diagnose which board to replace. what do you guys think? any help would be much apprecitated.

      update:

left tv on for a while, x-sus board heatsinks get warm, y-sus board heatsinks are stone cold.

im thinking to replace the y-sus board, but as the y-sus buffer has burn mark, do you suggest changing both?

      thanks
