    ysus-ipm trouble -Elonex 50"

    Ysus board LG 6870QYC004C

Another set with a blown IPM.

Having removed the yppd J015B from the board the components marked Q1,Q2, Q3 & Q4 have all blown up.

3 questions for anybody who has had similar problems.

    1) What are these components-
    2) Can they be replaced by off the shelf components.
    3) Why do these keep blowing?

In removing the IPM smd components B38 & B39 connected to diode D12 on the Ysus board got wrecked. What are these components?

My atlas passive component analyser shows them as having no resistance or inductance.

Half-bridge drivers. they are voltage amplifiers for the sustain waveform generated on the logic board.

No, only with replacement YPPDs. Some cases you can build a discrete circuit to replicate that. but your results may vary.

      Many thanks for your response.

Its a pity we can't come up with a reliable alternative.

I can get an IPM module but can't find any info on the smd components I damaged ref B38 & B39. The IPM supplier said they were coupling capacitors-(value not known).

They read on my annalyser as 0 resistance/inductance.

Have you any ideas if I can replace with an alternative?

Sparkle 1200W PSU MAGNA Model: SPM1200AXJ8 - Broken. Need help identifying components. Any schematics available?
        by Sam Scarbo
My Sparkle (SPI) PC power supply has broken. Originally, there was totally no power output. The 5V-standby was not there. I have replaced a few bulged capacitors but not helping.

I was trying to do more troubleshooting but burned more components. Some got burned so badly that the markings were gone. And also, the markings of a few transistors were gone because the component surface was worn out somehow.
If you happened to have disassembled the same PSU model, please help to provide the markings of some of these components.

See the attached two pictures of the small...

Please help to identify the components on Surface Laptop GO3, model 2013, i5-1230U
        by User2025
        Hi,

I am working on a Surface Laptop GO 3, which is the new release 2024 with a i5-1230U processor. Originally, it had a 256GB SSD, then the owner attempted to upgrade it to 1TB SSD by himself. "Surprisingly", it did not boot afterwards, then changed back to the original SSD, did not boot either.

It turned out to be that just a couple of components had been knocked off when the owner was trying to get off the SSD cover with his beloved screw driver.

I do not have another board of same model. Although I have a Laptop Go 2, the layout of that bit...

Surface Pro 4 - need help with some messed up components
        by Endlessmist
        Hi everyone

Here is the case that i'm trying to solve.

(short intro to explain what happened)

I bought second hand Surface Pro 4 and when I tried to reinstall the Windows it appeared there was the password on UEFI. Seller don't reply anymore. I decided to reflash the UEFI chip to remove the password. So I need to remove the chip from the motherboard first.

I have basic experience of repair tablets and phones, like battery or display change. So i opened the Surface Pro 4 and removed the motherboard successfully.

        (the...

LG 60PV450 Possible Bad YSUS Need help confirming Diagnosis
        by PlasMatt
I have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

DJI Mini Pro 3 missing components near camera connector
        by summerwhite
I have a DJI drone that is not displaying a video feed anymore after a repair.

When tearing down the DJI drone to fix the armature there was some hot glue next to the camera connector that i had to remove.

Now there are missing components either because they got pulled off or because they where never placed.

I have two reference images from XXZ and a photo of mine.

I'm truely hoping someone has another DJI Mini Pro 3 that they can help me identify what these components are and if they are necessary.

On the board view from XXZ they...
