if it is an lg board you shoul dissconect the lvds cable and short the "AUTOGEN" testpoints in the control board, that will run a test like PlainBill said..usually the're very close to each other...Comment

Re: Sanyo DP50747 50" / LG PDP50x4 T000 Panel Tv won't show video
ok main AV board came in and that did not resolve my issue- so back to th edrawing boards - I checked the voltages again - only discrepancy is on a connector where the voltage should be 200-210 volts I get 195volts - could this be the issue? I see the panel is charged (very dimly lit) and have sound just no video....what to check next - i will also try the self test - this is a sanyo version of the tv...
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,

Re: Sanyo DP50747 50" / LG PDP50x4 T000 Panel Tv won't show video
I have the exact same problem as everyone else here. Same model Sanyo DP50747(Panel LG PDP 50X4####). Plasma turns on and stays on. D2 and D5 are off. D3 and D4 are on. Screen is bright, with no defects. My problem is that I get no video or sound, and none of the menu buttons work. When you press the menu buttons on the TV, it does not even respond. Even pressing the power button does nothing. When plugging in the AC cable. The plasma automatically turns itself on. After that I get nothing. Only way I can get the TV to turn off is by unplugging it. I bought this tv broken and thought that I would fix it. When I originally opened their were about 8 bad caps PSB, also the fuse was missing from the power supply. I bought new ones of the exact same and replaced them. That was only a couple of days ago and I can already see them going bad! I also expect that their is a wire missing that goes from the power supply to the main board, but I'm not 100% sure(Their is no wiring diagram that I could find). Low hum coming from Y and Z Boards. I'm pretty sure their good cause screen shoudn't ven turn on if they weren't. I think I have it down to either the PSB or Main Board need to be replaced, but i'm not sure wich one tho. Or it could just be a missing wire that goes from the PSB to the main Board. Will be post pics of the unit up later today. Please help ASAP! Greatly AppreciatedComment

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.
I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6... -

Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.
Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V
Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....11-18-2021, 11:49 AM -
by MagicSmokeWorking on an old Sanyo 50" that has Samsung innards. Backstory.. saved from dumpster years ago, partial recap on SMPS, Replaced one of two small caps on X-main, set worked great for about 3 years.
Then recently it started to take a few minutes from power on to display a pic and sound, worked like that for about 3 months, then Smps would click once and then nothing, it will not shut itself off but nothing happens.
So pulled PS replaced all the caps, even the large mains. PS works and has all stable rated voltages present when switched on. TV has sound (static) when... -
Greetings all!
Originally this set had the usual messed up video symptoms such as: horizontal lines, weak, grainy video, bottom and top of picture differ in intensity of problem. It also seemed to slow to turn on or show the messed up picture.
Seemed like must be YScan/buffer board failure. Ordered buffer boards from my distributor which were supposed to be original/new and also from another distributor, I ordered the YSUS because I wanted to replace it for preventative maintenance. (also, the YSUS had a bulged cap, so there was even more reason to suspect it could... -
by cj_rehaHey all
I've been working on a 1984 Sanyo 27" color TV which had a smattering of bad caps in the video switching circuit. I found this oddball little 1uF 25V cap which looks to me like an early polymer, but I can't find concrete info proving it. I know Sanyo was a big player in early polymer cap development and this is the time period where they were just getting on the market, so I'm wondering if anyone has crusty old datasheets that could help identify it and determine if my suspicions are right? It has the same epoxy end seal and font/formatting as some old stock Os-Cons I've got laying...
