I have searched and searched to find an answer, or even a clue, as to what might be causing my blinking timer light problem. Lots of info around on older Mitsubishi DLP units and the capacitor issues which have plagued them, but little to nothing on this newer model (Mfg in 2007).
When the unit is powers on, there is relay activation on the PWB module, but no other activity aside from the blinking timer/power led on the front panel; no picture, no sound...no power to the light engine, the lamp ballast; no fan activity or other relay clicks. I opened up the PWB module to see if there were some DM-board capacitors which may be causing this issue, nothing that seems out of the ordinary. No reaction to error code operational check, using the front panel switch diagnostic doesn't change the blinking light sequence. I get the same result with removing the lamp; if the lamp cover is removed, I do get the proper LED readout.
Do these units have the same capacitor issue as the older Mitsubishi DLP models? Perhaps it is another component on the DM module? I have validated all fuses on the Power board are good; there is 12V to the DM board, but not to the light engine. Any insight is appreciated!
