    Samsung UE65TU8075U TV backlight

    Hi all
    First sorry for my English I'm from France.

    So I get a Samsung TV reference UE65TU8075U whith I suppose a backlight problem.

    The screen seems to be totally Dark but if we look in a dark room we can see that the displays seems to work Ok but with a very low light intensity.

    So I think it's a problem of ALL the backlight leds .
    Of course I think also to a power supply of this leds
    But I get no more infomation because I don't succeed to find a schematic on the net .
    I don't know the reference of the "base of Tv" I don"t know the word in English but I want to find the reference of the main architecture of the TV which is often on several models.

    Anyone could help me ? Find a schematic or any informations ?
    I would like to check at least all the PS ou the TV

          Summary for TL-DR readers:
          • Backlight is intermittent, may come on with TV boot or not. No flickering, never fails during TV on.
          • Have obtained Samsung schematic & service documents - Can upload if helpful.
          • Have read ALL applicable threads
          • C1818 and CP820 replaced as low hanging fruit
          • CN802 data taken for normal and failed BL operation. SUMMARY: Pin 2 - 5vDet = 3.52 @normal, 0.0 @BL fail. Pin 6 - EPWM = 1.631 @normal, 1.058 @BL fail.

          Hello,

          I'm looking at a Samsung model ue55nu7096u that I've only ever seen in a non-working condition, i.e. I don't know if the failure was progressive or instant.

          Symptoms

          No backlight at all — LCD and logic board are working normally. Resetting all settings and installing system updates has no effect.

          I tried reseating the connectors between PS and logic board, and PS and panel. No difference there.

          I could not find a service manual.



          Measurements when powered on

          Bulk cap: 388 V. Stable....

          Hi everyone!

          Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.

          My issue: No backlight.

          Model: QE82Q70RAT
          Type No: QE82Q70RAT

          The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.

          So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

          • Prior owner tried a replacement main board. No difference.
          • Samsung 2x red blinking standby LED = panel fault
          • Jumpered FB_TRDY_1 (pin 1 CN1300 left. main tcon->left side buffer boards) and FB_TRDY_3 (pin 95 CN1301 right. main tcon->right side buffer boards) This allows testing individual T-Con (on main board) connection to panel on this Samsung. Found fault on left side (viewing from rear of TV)
          • Each side has 2 buffer boards, disconnected left side flex between 2 buffer boards. Fault is on the left most board.
          • Tape masking eventually isolated to CN1300 pin 15 (CKV4_GOA) Display
