Trash picked this tv from a local business, had a garbage image and would fade to black within second then cut off. It would get shorter and shorter every time.
Narrowed it down to the right side of the panel by unplugging half the t con
One side had a great picture the other was black and distorted still.
Down to the buffer boards… found yet another set of two esd diode arrays. One leg had a 60 ohm short to ground and would get lower the more attempts made to turn the tv on.
Soldering iron and some chip quick knocked both of them off and replaced with the left over ones from my 65” Samsung tv repair that had the same issue.
Wallah it works again perfect image!
Check those esd tvs diode arrays before assuming anything else or a bad panel.
