LG LED (LCD) TV 50LN5600-UI flashes logo, red LED 3x blink

This 50 inch LG LED (LCD) TV was given to me not working. Powering it on, the logo flashes once for 1/4 second then black. Front panel red LED blinks 3x (I think... see below) then the LED turns off. TV stays on until I press the Power button again. There is an image on the LCD panel--I press the "Settings" button on the TV and this brings up menus I can see with a flashlight / torch.

(The front panel red error code LED blink sequence is a bit confusing to me. The LED is on when the TV is off. I press the Power button and the LED *very briefly* goes off--maybe 1/10 second--then goes on-off-on-off-on-off and stays off as long as the TV is powered on. I guess this is 3 blinks?)

Voltages at the PS board output connector are all present and correct.

Measuring the backlight output connector on the PS board (with cable to the backlight connected), I back-probe the cable connector, choose MAX setting on the meter, and press the TV Power button. I get a maximum reading as the backlight LEDs flash, then a minimum reading after they turn off:
pins 1-2: 74v max, dropping down to 4v.
pins 3-4: 114v max, dropping down to 4v.

I found 2 electrolytic caps on the PS board that measured ESR out of spec: a small 47uF/100v; and the HV 100uF/450v (which I replaced with a 270uF/450v that I had on hand). Is that 270uF OK in place of the 100uF? Or is it important that I find a direct replacement? The 270uF is a Cornell-Dubilier. The voltage measured across the cap is 395vdc.

So that's the history. Do these symptoms point to simply bad backlight LED strips?

Also, where to get a service manual for this?

    Thanks for reading.

Yes, but is it a fault in the BL protection circuit (for example) or bad LED strips?

          PS3 CECHC03 60GB YLOD Troubleshooting

I have a post on psx-place for this but thought I'd try here as well in case anyone has experience or the schematics or any kind of help. Here's the original post from psx-place:

Hi, so I bought a YLOD Fat PS3 as I wanted a repair project and thought it would be a good way to get experience. I was able to solder to the RX, TX and Diag pads on the COK-002 motherboard and was able to get external access and retrieved the codes. I haven't powered it on beforehand so these should be the last ones. I did try to get internal access immediately after but kept getting scopen response...

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
          by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Un50cu7000 2 blink oddity *partially solved
          by EazyBone
I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.
