I'm a little surprised but not much that they are bad already, isn't it a relatively new tv? guess they are all still making crap.

Just to further test I removed the bad 9v led from the strip and measured it and still got 9v.

I can’t believe these nano leds run on 20v. That seems crazy to me.

I measured with DMM while tv was on. I measure 80v. These are wired in groups of 4 leds as I mentioned above.

I also measured the individual led when on and it still reads 20v.

Attached is picture of the bl socket.

Ok, I will double check and report back. Just to mention these led strips light up in 4s at the test points and show 79.5v on the tester also.
But that’s not to say it’s wrong as you mentioned.

Yea, usually I do replace all. however I’m in the US and nobody has them in stock at a reasonable price. I looked on eBay for a single replacement strip also but nothing. So I was just going to replace the 2 bad ones and turn backlights down.

It seems to me that it is better to change the entire bar or the whole set at once, because the remaining LEDs will not last long (crystal digrodation has begun), after a short time others will start to burn out.

Thanks for the info. Is there anyway to replace just the led? If so where do I buy them. I googled for a 20v led but got nothing.

    Appreciate the help

Rather, it is a matrix LED, consisting of several LEDs.

    LG Nano91 TV Backlights

I have this TV that turns on and shows a pic but there is a line of backlights out.

So I opened it up tests the backlights. Found the 2 leds that are a fault. However these leds measure 20.2v per led. The 2 bad leds work but only measured 9v.

I've never seen leds like this on a tv that measure that high. These are super tiny (I'm guessing that where the nano part of the name comes from.

I planned to replace just the 2 bad leds but never seen a 20v led.

Anyone else have experience with these tv backlights?

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
    by Pipolups
    Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

Samsung UE48H6410 replaced Mainboard but backlights doesnt go on
    by max789
Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

    I made the following tests:
    1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
    2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

    VIZIO M557-G0: Backlights or ???
    by bpcannan
    'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...

    Sharp LC-58Q7330U No Backlight
    by Misterfixit
This set has the known reputation of failed led backlights. The set does not turn on, but when plugged in, the power led stays lit for about 5 seconds followed by two short blinks and then it repeats itself. While shinning a flashlight on the screen, you can make out the Sharp logo, then it goes out and repeats the cycle. I measured some voltages across the led backlight connector. What has me puzzled is that when I place the negative lead of my vom on the led backlight pin connector (in which the black wire going to the leds was), I measure as high as -228volts, and then it falls to -95 volts...

Samsung UE49MU6400 acts dead until disconnecting backlights, then works.
    by jesterace
Hi everyone I have this TV which was dead one day when I tried to turn it on. I've had the cover off and there was just a pulsating/electrical clicking/ticking noise from the PSU. I disconnected the mainboard as sometimes this works to just fire it up with backlights on? That didn't help. Same noise. Then I disconnected the backlight cable from the PSU and the TV came alive. It appeared to respond to the remote and i'm pretty sure it's fully operational when there is no backlight connected.

However, I am in a dilemma.

I tested the backlight outputs with the lights disconnected...
