Retail box Seasonic power supplies advertise all Japanese capacitors. Corsair HX, TX, VX advertise all Japanese capacitors.

It's not advertised, but my Thermaltake Toughpower has a Hitachi primary cap with Samxon everywhere else.

I've been using two corsair VX450s since my tagan and antec SP450 blew up last year.
The corsair VX is a rock solid light and quiet PSUs that don't put out much heat either. I have one surviving tagan and the room warms up a few degrees when that is on, unlike the corsairs.
I've got to recap either the antec or tagan though as I need another PSU for a backup server system, and I can;t spare another $90 for a new corsair VX.

Re-cap them both. Swap out the working Tagan for the re-capped one, re-cap the spare Tagan, keep it as a backup PSU or sell it, same for the Antec.

Yeah I'm going to give the antec a try first, it's way more simple than the tagan. the tagan needs massive amount of disassembly to get to the caps (removing mosfets, heatsinks, coils etc).
The antec is easier, (this is the first time for me trying to re-cap anything), no disassembly required, but I've just posted a new thread with my current problem, I've foregotten all the caps sizes as I removed the FU caps months ago.

the Antec is not easier - it just looks that way.

there are some small cap's in antec's that are a bitch to remove unless you desolder the fets & remove the heatsink on one side first.

and watch for caps hidden inside black rubber sleeving.
