    Erbauer 18-24v battery charger

Does anyone know how to get hold of an electrical schematic for this battery charger? I have Ryobi portable drills but the charger is missing so was wondering if I could use an Erbauer charger which I do have instead. The battery connections can be altered on the charger but the Ryobi batteries are charged through a temperature detector on the negative line. The Erbauer charger has a 3rd terminal but its positive.

Are you using ni-cad batteries or are you using Li-ion batteries
It makes a big difference which batteries we are talking about

It might be a big maybe ?

You need to know how this 3rd terminal is being used for me to answer your question

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. They're Ni-cad batteries. I don't know how the 3rd terminal works, I thought getting hold of a schematic would help me understand. On the Ryobi charger the negative went through the 3rd terminal via a temperature fuse to the negative of the batteries.

On the Erbauer when powered on I get 26v across + & - and 26v across the 3rd terminal and - , so I've assumed the 3rd terminal is +.

I've got 2 Erbauer chargers, 1 has an ac transformer the other has no transformer but instead a massive capacitor 45micro farrad x 450v.
        Here's some pics of both.

Do you have a battery for this charger if you do can you take the battery case off of it and see how it is wired

No I'm afraid I don't. I stripped the Ryobi down which is how I know that charging is thro the 3rd terminal.
I keep searching the net in the hope I'll find a schematic. Can you reverse engineer the circuits in the photos I posted?

Not really this why you need a battery for this charger because it can be a few different ways it can be done one way is just use a thermo switch or a resistor type sensor or “k” type or something similar

There some ni-cad chargers out that very easy to use and work fairly well

                https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ni-MH-Ni-Cd...53.m1438.l2649

One note on this charger you should replace the capacitors in this charger they unknown brands

I looked at the link. Charge rate is 1 amp compared to Erbauer of 2.8amp. I'm not going to resort to buying a replacement just yet, not when I have perfectly good robust chargers- just not configured correctly. I shall perserver a bit longer and endevour to find a wiring diagram.
                  Appreciate your help.

how to prevent a connected charger from draining battery when not charging?
                    by flat-earther
I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.

but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

                    How can I prevent...

Modification of a Fluke multi meter that uses three AA batteries to use a 14500 lithium ion battery
                    by sam_sam_sam
I have had with regular AA batteries that leak this meter is expensive new I already replaced the battery battery clips once and the same thing happened again and I am tried of so it is getting modified to accommodate lithium ion batteries that are the same size excluding the positive terminal and removing the battery clips I will have enough room for the BMS protection board

I going to put 3 lithium ion battery in parallel with the BMS protection board and a way to charge the battery externally and heat shrink the battery pack and use a JST connector so I easily remove the battery...

Milwaukee M18 HD12.0 (12 amp hour battery pack) unbalanced failure charger refusing
                    by sam_sam_sam
I have two Milwaukee 12 amp hours battery packs that have an issue with battery cells very unbalanced these are probably over 4 years old and been heavily used in the past but now get occasionally used heavily and when I went to use the grinder tool the battery lost battery battery power very quickly so I decided to open it up and found some battery cells voltage from 3.6 to 4.1 no wonder the battery charger was not fully charging them 3 out of 4 LEDs were on meaning that it was only 75% charged

So I have put them on the battery testing machine to drain each battery cell down to...

Acer Aspire 5 A514-55 - won't power on, no charger LED, battery not flat - usual suspects?
                    by DenK
Dear all, I am trying to troubleshoot an Acer Aspire 5 A514-55 that won't power on. I'll describe the symptoms and my findings so far, and I would like to seek guidance and suggestions on possible suspects in terms of cause/component failure. My initial thoughts are battery charger IC and/or ideal diode/MOSFET (that switches between incoming DC and battery power), but I could be totally wrong on this.
                    1) Laptop was working fine on battery, then user realised battery was running low. Plugged in AC adapter but noticed it was not charging (LED on AC adapter plug did not light). Eventually shut down
