LH1605CK based PSU - Not working

    Hello
Newbie here, new to the forum as well!
looking for your guidance on the subject below.

I have bought an LH1605CK based PSU from a flea market.
When I first checked it, it had a blown fuse and the transformer was bad.
After I replaced the fuse and the transformer, I am able to get 30V at the output, but it is not adjustable.

The design of the power supply is very similar to the example in the data sheet of LH1605CK, and all the components check ok.
I am suspecting a bad ic, but since this is a discontinued model, I can't find a replacement to check. I found a piece online but it's way too expensive to worth ordering.

so the question I would like to ask is if my assumption is correct, or is there anything else I can check that I am missing.
I can post photos of the unit if you want, just let me know.

I am trying to work out the schematic to post it here as well, but any ideas in the mean time are more than welcomed!!
Thank you very much for your time!

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
    by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
    The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

Can I flash a working BIOS from one computer to another of the same make, model, etc?
    by TyMercer
Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...

Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF - strange behavior and service_mode jumper not working anymore
    by MMH3
    Hello,

i have many 5050sff. all of them, and how i experienced over many years for all about 250 DELLs goin through my hands, are fully flashable and can be serviced in any way when the service_mode jumper is set.
Never ever i experienced problems with that.

Now i have one 5050sff machine, where this jumper isnt working at all.
I do not get the normal messge that the jumper is set when booting and a short test with FPT just confirms this. Everything is locked -->> EVEN for reading !?

The history of the machine is that i used it in my office...

GIGABYTE X299 AORUS ULTRA GAMING - SATA PORTS 4-7 NOT WORKING ???
    by DynaxSC
    Hi,

I have the above mentioned bord after repair, which was related to a lot of missing smd devices on the back of the board.
There were almost 20 devices missing, caps, resistors and some diodes/mosfets.
The board is generally working now, all PCIe ports are working, Windows installs normally.

However I have a problem with SATA ports 4-7 (the board has 8 SATA ports) - disks are not beeing recognized by the BIOS neither by Windows (which is usually normal in case BIOS does not recognize them).
The SATA 4-7 driver network is quite simple chipset<->buffers/drivers<->SATA...
