In most if not all power supplies since 1998 the fan(s) blow(s) from inside the psu to outside: basically it sucks the hot air from the cpu and vrm area. Early ATX psus, instead, blow from outside to inside the case as Intel though the psu fan was enough to cool its Pentium IIs: the P2 300 Klamath, considered a stove for the time heatsinks due to its 43W TDP, proved BigI was wrong

Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....04-12-2024, 06:54 AM -
I'm finally recapping my Soyo K7VX6 motherboard (aka KT600 Dragon Ultra) and replacing Sacon SZ-series caps. The Sacon SZ datasheet provides a spec for tan delta, but not for ESR, while the candidate replacement caps are specified in terms of ESR.
I found this nice little description of the conversion:

It mentions that a general spec for tan delta has to be adjusted for the specific capacitance before plugging tan delta into the formula... -
