Ryobi 18 volt battery and a sound bar a very good hack

    Here is the story

I went to a Kmart that is closing their doors for ever sad

So I was looking around the store and went to the electronic department to see what they had
And saw these sound bars it is a brand that I have not seen before but the price was only $45.00 I thought what the heck I would give them a try and see what happens

The sound was very good on this sound bar (I went back to the store the next day and bought a second one)

it has a remote that works the sound and switches from line in to Bluetooth device when in this mode you can control the music tracks and more

This sound bar has 18 volt switching power supply brick ( by the way I stole it's power cord)

This got me thinking about how I could make this portable and take it any where

I have some old Ryobi 18 volt chargers for the nicad batteries that I do not use and more so I took the gut out of it and just use the case for the battery to power the sound bar I can run this for hours before it drain the battery down from 4 bars of power down to 3 bars of power

This works real good with the MP3 player hack I just did a week ago the two work real good together now when I do power supply repair in my shed I can jam out to good music which was a real problem before

I also have a good stereo system in the shed also but it is not the same I can not choose the songs I want to hear when I want to hear them
Now I can choose which one I want to use and when I want to use it

If try to put the MP3 player to the stereo system it volume is not very loud with out using a preamp which is a pain in the @ss if you what I mean

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
    by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Here is the page of capacitors that I can choose from what is a good choice for a FSP 400-60GLC
    https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...Xmc1YPJ6BlESoA

I try to use a 565-1664-ND which is a 10mm in diameter unfortunately it will not fit because there are two of them the same size and value and there is no room and they go to two different circuits not in parallel...

EU55JS9000T black screen and sound good
    by totof
    Hello.
I have this issue on my Samsung EU55JS9000T TV.
Backlight is good when the one connect box in not connected to the TV and I can launch the TCON screen test with the remote control.

But when I connect the one connect box the backlight immediatly turn off, the sound is OK (TNT source).
I dont know if the problem is from the one connect box or from the internal motherboard of the TV.
I open the one connect box (reference BN96-37087R) and all seems good, simply the Hawk-P CI is very hot after 5 minutes (~65 degres).

    Is someone have experience...

LG 43UF640V backlight good but black screen and no sound
    by totof
    Good morning.
I have a problem with my LG Smart 43UF640V TV. It starts, the backlight comes on but nothing is displayed on the screen and there is no sound.
I thought it was a TCon problem and ran various tests. If I disconnect one or the other of the cables from the tcon to the panel then the screen is white on the side where the cable is disconnected and black on the other side. If the two cables are disconnected the screen is completely black.
In the 4 configurations I measure exactly the same voltages on the tcon card (model V15 43UHD TM120 Ver0.4) :

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...
