I think a 30a schottky for 12v rail and it would be usable for a new PC if it doesn't crossload because of the light 5v usage
There is some place that throw away a lot of cases and PSUs but it's an extremely dangerous zone so I don't go there too often, except for solder that it's really cheap and good quality over there

Hmm so old design refited to "modern" requirements? ...interesting, definetly usable if recaped and the EMI/Input section gets properly populated, too bad it's a 5V heavy design but if it can do at least 230W then is enough for most applcations on a modern computer, does it really have shunts to separate the two 12V rails?? pics don't show, well even if it is a single rail design it's probably the best Linkworld i've seen compared to the ones i'm used to see here in MX.

if you walk through housing estates or industrial parks, you often find computers etc dumped at the side of the street.

I'm kind of like everell, in the fact that I hoard ATX power supplies because I have an obsession I have been in the computer repair business for a while and it is easy to acquire them from recycled machines. I don't post regular stuff like Bestec ATX-300-12Z because everyone has seen one a million times

Yeah I'd call it a 275W PSU. I don't know why they even bother with the ceramic discs. If you're going to make crap, just leave it completely empty

With those heatsinks and O/P inductor? 200W-250W. 470uF I/P lytics are consistent with that, too. GP ceramic disc caps used as Y-caps.

    Xtreme Gear PSAZ-600

Pretty sure Linkworld is the OEM to this thing. Looks okay. The lacking input filter is disturbing though.

    Not pictured is the 30A for 5V, 20A schottky for 12V, 30A for 3.3V.

Soldering is pretty bad in spots. The fan spins very slow, it is nice and silent. This thing has a huge assortment of cables for a cheap unit. All wiring is 18AWG except 16AWG for CPU power and 20AWG for PCI-e 6+2

Problem with the Logitech G27 gaming steering wheel gear lever
    by render1967
Hello! First, please excuse me if my English is not good enough because it is not my native language!
Now let me describe my specific problem. For two days, the gear lever on my Logitech G27 has shown the following defect. When switching in the game (for example ETS2) it often does not detect 1st, 3rd and 5th gear - in these positions it shows neutral or flashes between the specific gear and neutral (for example - 1st <> neutral). When I press the gear lever to the left or right while it is in a position, it still manages to guess the gear and engage. In addition, instead of rear...

Corsair RM 750 blown schottky diode near ES1DF
    by iyas132
Hi there, i am currently diagnosing my corsair rm750 that wont turn on, after a power trip.

Before the power trip, previously i need to push power button on my pc case quite a bit in order to turn the pc (and power supply on), however after the power trip now i cannot turn the pc on at all and i opened the power supply, and found out some of the component(s) are blown. (picture attached)

My current diagnostic is that the (schottky) diode marked "SF" in the 5Vsb circuit are blown and possibly the ES1DF diode too.

Can anyone help me identify the component...

FH7 Sony cass deck service manual & gear required.
    by zen
    Hi all

    This deck keeps jamming.

Took a chance & ordered an upgraded FF cam gear, plus slider sold on Ebay, as I thought it might be a common cause of issues being that it was sold a repair kit.

Well, that's what I get for making assumptions.

Stripped down & discovered a large black intermediate gear with worn teeth.

Can anyone help to source it?

iMac screen problem - PSU schottky's failing?
    by Crystaleyes
    Hi all,

have another iMac with flickering then black screen issue.

    It is a 21.5" 2010 A1311 model.

When switched on, the screen flickers before going black. With a torch you can see the image is there, as are all four diagnostic LED's.

Measuring the PSU output only gives around 10.5v with the cable harness connected, although it measures 12.06v unconnected. This leads me to suspect something the power supply.

I saw that some people had found a shorted mosfet on the output however these seem fine, when tested for...
