Hello. I have a Power supply that does not give any 5 volt standby voltage. This was after a power surge. Sadly no schematics for the PS3 power supply. I seem to have found the culprit. A DNP015, that converts dc to a high frequency voltage for the trasnformer. I cant this ic anywhere in mexico, and to order from the US or china would be or expensive shipping, or take too long in normal mail.
Is there any subtitute I could use? Here is the datasheet:
It has around 230vdc to pin 5 which seems to be good. but no voltage gets to (or comes from) pin 2, which is VDD. From what I have read it should be supplied right afer it starts outputting the voltage from pins 6, 7 and 8 to keep it on.
I suspect because of this the ic is malfunctioning. Any help would be great. Thanks!
