I haven't read that one. What i have read and could recommend:

Switching Power Supply Design Third Edition (A. Pressman, K. Billings, T. Morey)
Power Supply Cookbook (Marty Brown)
Practical Switching Power Supply Design (Marty Brown)
Switching Power Supplies A to Z (S. Maniktala)

The last one isn't really suitable for a beginner as it has a lot of advanced math. The first three keep the maths to the minimum required. Any of them is a good place to start.

It didn't teach me anything I didn't know to be honest
