Got this Premier LC-8460BTX to fiddle with.
First of all - how the PSU is inside:
Now for the problem:
Plugged in first, high pitch noise from secondary and no fan activity. Replaced a resistor that was dead, noise disappeared, but still no fan activity, and it was wired correctly. Used DMM,and 5vsb came up at 5.11v,but other voltages were 0v.
Any ideas what it might be?

Code:
- L-shaped heatsinks (someone told me they're better at dissipation,is that true? ) -4 diode treatment - not much of a problem for me -X caps and common mode choke - copper wire unlike my older version of it (LC-C400ATX ~ 2006) -EI-33 transformer - again, not a problem for me (most of my PSUs use EI-33 transformers anyways) -only a diode on a bracket next to secondary heatsink - anybody know what is it for? -5VSB - 30A - can't read what mosfet says due to big torroid in it's way. Funnily how sticker says 15A for 5v -12V - 20A - S20C60C - 60V VRRM -3.3V - 16A -PI coils for all rails (single rail btw, sticker claims dual rail) -bulged YC caps - replaced with KZE & Ruby ZL 1200uf 16v on 5v,Ruby ZL (same value as before)& Suncon (Sanyo) 3300uf 10v on 12v,same for 3.3v,1x Canicon (not bulged) 1000uf 16v & OST 3300uf 6.3v - didn't have japanese caps left for last 2 places -470uf 200v YC primaries - no problems since they rarely bulge -2005Z PWM chip
