    Help with Television Power Supply??

I am hoping someone here can give me a bit of advice on the P/S from my LG rear projection TV.

A friend gave me a 60" LCD rear projection TV that did not work. He said it did work but once in a while it turned off by itself.

When I plug it in the power LED turns red and the fan comes on. When I try to turn it on, the power LED turns orange and flashes a
few times and then turns off. I hear a click in the back when the TV turns on and again when it turns off.

I had the lamp tested at a TV repair shop and it is OK. I took the TV apart to get better access to the inner workings and started looking
    around for a problem.

The P/S has no bad caps on it or any burn marks. I tested the input voltage on the ballast and it has 1.9vdc coming in (from what I have
read on the net, it should be 240vdc).

How can I test the power supply properly to see if it is the problem?

    Thanks,
    Ian

You need the service manual to see what voltages the PS is suppose to put out. With these older TV's it's best to just change out the module instead of troubleshooting on the component level. If you change the power supply and still no power then its the main board
