Here is the story
It start about 3 month ago some time you would have to wait a while when you want to print something this would happen off and on
Then some time you could not find the printer it was not ready to print
I would have to reload the software for the printer to work again
The other day the power button would not turn the printer ON I had to unplug
the power supply for the printer work again
My wife is taking class on line and uses an I-pad and want to be able to print from it so we bought a new printer so she could do this
I need a print at work and they will not buy one for me so I said let see what went wrong with this one
I took the power supply apart and there was no name cap in there I have not
seen before
Power supply
120 uf @ 400 volts did not replace
330 uf @ 50 volts ESR value a little high 1.5 or so
47 uf @ 50 volts ESR value a little high 2.3 or so
Printer
So I took a look inside the printer and I find 5 more caps
So I took the printer apart and found Tepo brand cap and some more no name cap in there I have not seen before
330 uf @ 50 volts a little high 1.4 or so
330 uf @ 25 volt a little high 1.6 or so
330 uf @ 25 volts a little high 1.3 or so
1000 uf @ 10 volts a little high 1.4 or so
10 uf @ 50 volts a little high 2.4 or so
Put the printer back together and the power supply and power it up and went to print boy what a difference changing these caps made now this back to the way it was new
I have two more printer that worse than this that I will recap as well now knowing this is what is causing this problem
