I received a couple of free Micron PC brand computers from a company clearing out old stuff. (I love craigslist.org!)
Micron no longer sells PCs here. I guess they couldn't compete with Dell. So, no details at their site.
Anyway, I cracked open the cases to find a brand of PSU I couldn't find any info on. It's TGR, model # FV-250N26, UL # E138681.
(See pic)
It has a TUV certification (I assume that's good). 250W unit, powering an Intel 815 mATX motherboard and Tualatin core 1.1 GHz Celeron...more than enough power.
These PCs are LOUD. Like jets taxiing for takeoff.
If it's worth keeping, then I'll swap out the fans for some more quieter ones.
If it's not, then I have an ABC-labeled Sparkle/FSP 235W PSU ready to take up duty. It's whisper quiet.
BTW, a 300W Achme ATX PSU with an old AT style extra connector, came into my possession. Claims intel P4 ready.
Is Achme junk or acceptable? No list of this brand either.
Man, I'm beginning to accumulate more old systems than I know what to do with! It may be time to toss out the old AT systems.
