Hi guys,I have been working on a power supply of an Audio Measuring Set,the make is ESD and model# is AMS872-1.The problem is that upon switching on the frequency and every thing else operates normally except the level display. The level display shows a one which indicates an overload. Now I've seen a similar problem like this with another AMS and the fault was a short on the power supply, but this is not the case. The unit was working correctly before, the only thing that I've changed was a FET N channel(part no.SiVN 10k) I took that out to repair another unit. Now i'm not sure if the FET I've replaced is the correct one cause the orignal FET(part no. SiVN 10k) was not available so I've used a similar one.Anyone with Knowledge on Audio Measuring Sets can you please help me.Thanks

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.
The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...2 Photos -
by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
by BugmanscjHi: Found this forum fumbling over the net looking for replacement capacitors for a high quality 2uv ripple model Kaia, Core Audio Technology LPS. I bought it used on fleabay and figured I would have to recap and sure enough one of the 22,000uf 35V 105c caps is bulging. These supplies were made briefly around 2014 for MAC Mini audio servers, and were quite costly at the time ($1.7k), you know it's audio...
I will use it for a video processor power supply to replace a switched version. I figure it's a low cost attempt to see/hear what difference it might make in my system. Plus I get to learn...

by smurtzI have here a Cambbridge Audio Stream Magic 6 which does not power on.
When opening the case the PSU appears to be faulty:
IC1 (ICE3BR0665J), D2, the rectifier bridge, C15,C16 are dead and T2 is fried:
I found the schematics of the PSU in the cambridge Audio CXN Service guide which uses the same:
My problem is that I cannot find any info on T2 (SG01323) which seems to be a choke. Anyone knows how I can find a replacement & the value of that choke ?
Thanks very much in advance... - Loading...
