Looks like a couple of cracked solder joints with arcing from the pads to the component leads.PeteS in CA

I can see a burn mark on the metal case - this once happened to our oven when the oven element shorted to the earthed case, destroying the oven thermostat.My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.Comment
