I will recheck it when I can get to that pc too many tvs in the way atm to get to it, I hope nothings wrong but thats what I recall tbh I dont think there is.
The blue light is the power button on the pc I have no way of retesting it untill he room is clean.

The cpu is 30w if thats what you mean, I measured it with my load tester the total watts the pc uses is 233w.

All mine is powering is a amd sempron 145, 250gb 2.5" hdd, asus m5a78l motherboard with a gt210 gpu on uses around 233w I think is what I read on the meter I know im loosing out on efficiency but ohh well brough this new for the application so mares well use it.

Cheers mon, capxon I normally replace on site they are one of the worst caps ever. And corsair using them is just away to make more money on rma when the caps fails and cause the psu not to start lol

Re: Shame on you Corsair! (Capxon)

On this board I'm pretty sure the blame lies entirely with the caps themselves. It's a well known fact that NCC had problems with that series. They were often used interchangeably with equivalents from Rubycon, Panasonic and Nichicon, and only the ones with NCC KZG and KZJ failed.

But yah, some manufacturers did really stress their caps big time. The Dell SX280 was an example (Prescott CPU in an ultra small form factor case). It was very common to see those with cooked Rubycon and sometimes even Panny caps. About the only way to reliably fix one of those was to poly-mod.

    Yeah, that's what I meant...

The mainboard manufacturers did misuse some caps so that even the best quality caps available at that time are doomed. Either due to high ripplecurrent, high temperatures or both...

This was my old s 939 board that was laying around in my pile of old parts. The visibly bad KZJ failed long time ago I just never bothered fixing it since I was doing major upgrade. The reason I fixed is because I wanted to build gaming pc to play old win xp games.
The point is that KZJ and KZG have been known to fail under light use and we'll ventilated area.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb0sg8QavDI similarly what happened to this board.

KZE and KZH should have different electrolyte than KZG/KZJ. They are being used for many many years now in all kinds of power supplies, I do not know about a single failure.

the primary 220uF 400v Chemi-Con I yanked from the CX430 (rev. 2.3) is the SMQ series. It figures they would use the bottom series. It was also out of tolerance. it only measured 170uF. It just said "SMQ" on the front with no vertical markings. The Nichicon cap I replaced it was only 5% out. So if anybody buys the CX430 the primary cap might be way out of tolerance.

Yup. The KZM never failed in that thread. It was simply what was used to replace the bad one.

I remember some people from Corsair saying that Japanese caps would only be used in positions where caps would fail under warranty.

The KZM looks like the replacement for a bad KZG. Only the three leaking KZGs were replaced, and KZE and KZM series caps were used.
