Samsung PSU's - are they any good?

I came across this PSU, Samsung EPAP-420

Is it somehow decent? Who is Samsung's OEM producer?

It's an ATX 1.x series power supply. ATX 2.0+ requires more amps on +12V. The mobo connector is probably 20-pins and it may have the +12V 4-pin connector.
Stupidity should be a crime, especially for drivers. I have NO patience for them.

Etasis makes very good units. Should be a fine power supply.

I agree, it should be a good PSU.

At least they used to be.
I haven't seen any recent ones.

Interesting, I'd say it's Hipro due to the casing. Both do good PSU's but with bad caps. I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my first Hipro, a 300 W one, with so excellent output cable layout. It also had thicker wires than my 500W Seasonic.

Anyaway thanks, I'll give it a try, hopefully it won't end up much pricey when most people don't know it. It's from an auction portal.

Looks more than reasonable to me. Paralleled 680uF PFC caps? (Jeez, I think my 430W Seasonic has like a single 560uF cap.) The Samsung is only rated for 200V but hey transients aren't ever usually over 150-170V on N. America lines.

For a 300W, looks good to me.

No, they are in series (for voltage doubler when using 115VAC) and no-PFC.

The single input cap and two input caps PSU's are different designs. [Circuits.]
The two cap design typically has the 115v/230v switch and the single cap design doesn't need one.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                        by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
