industrial 24Vdc Xenon strobe light troubleshooting

    Hello all,

Im seeking help to understand this circuit more so that i can Fix it faster.

Its from Medc , model: Xb11

    It contains:

1 P channel IRF9530N Mosfet(installed with the black heat sink).
1 N channel IRG4BC30K Obsolete IGBT. Near to the mosfet
2 TLC555/Q timer IC(the old one contains ts555in its the same function i guess).
2 ZTX649 NPN medium power transistors. On the right
1 ZTX749 PNP medium power transistor. On the right
1 C106M1G SCR (reverse blocking Thyristor) near to the big Cap.
    1 Current-compensated Choke RN112-0,06/02. Near to the +,- terminals
    1 rubycon Cap 100 uF 400Vdc.
2 SBCHE447RJ 47ohm 4 watt big white resistors on the upper left.
1 tx059 bck-rm10-02 big transformer on the left (primary is around 18-21 Vdc not sure about the secondary but i can measure around 350Vdc after the rectifiers).
1 ZS 1052-1(H) very small trigger transformer located in the middle with a white wire from it(this is the one giving the VHV to the xenon gas inside the tube(around 9.5 kv based on the detasheet )

And some rectifier diodes and 3 Zeners and small resistors i think its 1/4 im not sure.
Based on my understanding, this is a :

    A- DC-DC converter
    B- power supply is 24Vdc
C- across the xenon tube and the big cap(350Vdc)
    D- its very dangerous circuit

I already fixed some of them but im not sure what the ICes are doing? Are they controlling the transformer? Or controlling the time of pulses ? And are they running the mosfet with IGBT? Or the the opposite? And why we have 3 transistors ? And what is that current choke device ? …

Is there any schematics for this? I searched everywhere I couldn't find any,
If someone can explain the circuit for me i will appreciate it very much, I really need to understand it.

    Thank you

    555 is an oscillator,
i suspect the 555 generates a frequency that then goes through a fet into the transformer to generate the 200-300v across the tube.
another circuit will charge a big cap from that voltage and then use a fet to dump it into the pulse transformer to fire the tube.

Thanks for you help, by saying fet you mean ( the mosfet?) what about the NPn transistor and the others? What its their rule in the circuit.

Thank you for your help, much appreciated.

P.S the empty holes on the right is like this from factory nothing was removed from the circuit.

Edit: the component within the heat sink is the IGbT, the mosfet the the one next to the current choke thing.

you should draw a schematic - start with a 555 timer
one is going to run the transformer - the other probably sets the rate of flashing.

That is beyond my skills actually, thx for the info
