    Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD UPS not charging

    Hello,
I have a problem with a Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD UPS unit that seems not charging the battery.

With AC power connected I measure 13,50V on battery terminals.
If I unplug AC cord, voltage drops below 10V after no more than 30 seconds causing UPS to shut off.
    I'm testing with a load of 20W.

Plugging AC power again UPS turns on and battery charge level indicates 100% (even if I disconnect battery!!!!).

Tried with new battery same behaviour.

Therre is no sign of blown components. Could you help me troubleshooting this issue?

    thanks in advance

13.5 should charge the battery .. 10v is low . test the battery . or leave to charge overnight and then test . even new batteries can be bad .

I really do not understand, I tried with another battery pulled out from another ups.

If I power on UPS whithout battery, it shows 100% charge level (?!?).
With AC power: 13,6V on battery and current flow of 0.5-1A.
On battery: voltage holds above 12V for 30 seconds then drops quickly below 10V and UPS shut off.

I've just ordered another battery to test tomorrow.

voltage is correct, sinewave I'm not able to check but I tried to power an active pfc psu so I presume is good.

To me this would indicate that you have a bad battery or you have a severe over current condition on the primary side which is the battery side and the secondary would be the 120 volt ac side when you are on battery

                  Hey All!

Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!

I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.

The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.

When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.

TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                  by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
                  by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

                  MacBook Air M1 A2337 battery/charging issue
                  by drlarsen
Hello. Sorry for the long post, but I am trying to decide if this is a simple battery replacement, or potentially something more complicated.

I bought an open box MacBook Air M1 2020 A2337. Seller claimed it was never used. Visually, it appears pristine.

On arrival, the battery was completely flat. Computer powers up and boots fine. Battery status showing 1% and charging, 1 cycle. coconutBattery showing 0 mAh and ~6 watts.
After some hours, the battery status did not improve. Restore via DFU did not help.

I connected the power adapter to a Kill-a-Watt...
