Yeah no it is locked on bios password screen, what had happened is my nephew removed what he thought was the safe boot option by disabling the admin bios password but left the user password locked and exited bios and now it just sits on the bios password screen not loading into bios or anything and doesn’t accept any password or the alt+r option for recovery. I was hoping there were atleast cmos pins somewhere to short for a few seconds to drain the memory power but maybe loading a copy of bios update onto a flash and nothing it that way will bypass this and reset bios?

Hello everyone! I know this thread is a little old but I thought it might be the best place to ask for some help.
I have recently purchased a broken-down RPG STRIX G513QY with a series of problems and I am slowly fixing it up. I have managed to make it boot and it's more or less usable now!
I am having a couple of problems which really bugged my mind: The CPU fa does not seem to work most of the time, and the keyboard (other than the power button) does not work. RGB lights don't seem to work either, anywhere, which is quite curious. I have already bought and tested replacements for both components, and no dice- It's something in the board, I'm sure, so I'm asking if anyone has a boardview for this specific board. I have seen sethex has shared a boardview, and it's been helpful! But it's not the exact same model.
The laptop is a ROG STRIX Advantage Edition G513QY-R9X8G6T-O
The motherboard version is: G713-6050A32254002 - MB - A01 (A1)
While we are at it, I found a curiosity inside the laptop: There is a little board labeled as an IR sensor under the motherboard, pointed towards the keyboard. Is it some sort of temperature-monitoring measure? If there was a problem with it, it would explain why the GPU fan works perfectly, but the CPU one does not turn on most of the time (even if it does turn on sometimes, which is the infuriating part!)
I've looked for this boardview everywhere and can't seem to find it anywhere.Comment

by McChicken77Hello guys I'm new to board repair. I would like to primarily focus on PC boards, so I picked one up, but now can't find any documentation on it. I found one post with boardview on this forum but it is in a .fz format which my freeboardview program doesn't want to open.
If someone has a PDF of the schematics and the boardview .brd file I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!-

by chappersHi, I have quite a lot of GTX 1080 boardview cad files that I found somewhere ages ago, but none of them are close enough to the layout of the card that I have.
There's a sticker on the card that has this on it:
Strix GTX1080 A8G Gaming D212 062820 02365 YV09M2 A04
Has anyone got a boardview for this please? I have a short on the 1V8_AON rail and the FBVDD rail (not the GPU causing it) and using a half ohm device is helping me get closer but I need to see where some vias go to.
Thanks...-
