didn't worked for me the status of the laptop is when i power it on it will turn on for a few seconds then just as you will notice that the lcd will display it will lose all power then turn on again automatically, i've already check the motherboard for faulty or shorted ic and capacitors but found none .. so my last option was this to reprogram the ic but didn't work

do you have any idea what i can try next?

Ok let's start from the beginning is my file doing exactly the same as yours any differents ?
What os is on this model 8 or 10. When it does start do you have any activity on usb ports like if you plug a mouse or keyboard in does it light up for a min ?

I received my programmer today... should I try flashing bios first or the EC? which one is more likely to corrupt?
(I'm getting no power led on DC-In - logically what controls the power led? i would think the EC)

Is this a two chip board? if only one chip it's all togetter 8MB .. I would then upload back up firmware here and i will look at it and give you a working file back..

No display
standby current mobo with ram and bin proc .001 amps
stops at .488 up and down a bit
fainted screen flickers but no display even using a flashlight

mild reflow was made to gpu chip to no avail

Oh My.

After flashing the KB9022 with my new RT809F flasher, I got LIGHTS!! woohoo!

but then, I had messed with one of the SMD DC to DC chips (EM5209VF) when I was poking around looking for shorts so I had to wait another two weeks for that chip to arrive from china (the only place I could find it online)

Just soldered it on... and now she boots!! This was my first board repair....I'm so proud of myself!! My two new shiny tools actually paid off, the RT809F flasher and my hot air rework station.

TLDR - EC got corrupted - needed a reflash. Being a newb and didn't know this, destroyed a DC power chip and had to replace and also reflash to get computer working

hi guys..i have a e5-473g laptop..the problem is intermittent power after 6 sec. will shut off the light..i flash the bios and reheat video chip and procie..same problem..whats the best solution..i have 3 unit encountered the problem..thanks in advance..

that everyone there. already flash the EC for this unit Used RT809F. can you teach me how. I already Flash the SPI Rom. Same as Problem.

Hello Guyz!

Nice to be back again after so long.
I have a problem with this model also even tried reheating the gpu and running bios crisis but to no avail.

So it means flashing the bios and EC might have a higher rate of success. Need to get RT809F flasher as what moophus did.
