Shorted.. u9200 is suffering from the false reports filtered through corporate media's support for unfounded cock-suckery manifest as a modern day witch hunt.

Good Luck.. Honesty is no longer relevant to products sold in the U, fucking, Knighted States of European Acquiescence and blessings.

I was able to open the RAR file with p7zip on osx. The archive is corrupt.

Also the documents suggest board 820-3462 instead of board 820-3642.. I dont believe I know of a 820-3642 however.

I am including a new archive with both of the files.

I did have some experience some 30 years ago working on electronic circuits.
Rusty is an understatement at this point, but I am a quick learner.

With your guidance, I would love to learn about fixing this A1425 logic board.

I picked up a liquid damaged a1425 macbook pro.
              1. the biggest issue is that the battery is no longer detected.
For a long time, it stayed at 15% - though the charger light stayed orange forever.
After not using this macbook pro for 2 months, now the battery is listed as "0" in the system profile detail.
But the charger light is orange thinking it's still charging the battery.

              2. the trackpad was erratic, so I bought a new one to replace (what I thought was bad) it.
This new trackpad is less erratic, yet still shows some issues
This problem #2 is not so critical at the moment.

I have downloaded the PDF schematic and board view file.
Soon, the logic board will be taken out and examined.

Would you please provide tips on how to start?
I noticed most folks mention U7000
I've also checked the battery related pages in the schematic.
As I have not done this before, your true and tested knowledge is immensely appreciated.

              Cheers

Hi did you get anywhere with the repair, got exactly the same problem! Thanks

                                Re: APPLE A1425 820-3462-A Schematic

The boardview looks not 100% correct for my 820-3462-A.
i.e. R7050 show 4pin while the schematics show 2pin. Also UD200 is not on the board.
My MBP A1425 works OK from charger but doesn't recognise the battery after installing new battery. Not sure if it the battery itself or the charging circuit? With charger PPBUS_G3H is 12,57V, w/o charger 0V.

R7050 is 4 pins both in boardview and schematics.
BOM option LOADISNS:YES not populated on production boards for UD200 like most Mac logic boards.

You are right, I was looking on the wrong spot.
I think the new battery is not recognised. Since I do have 12,6V on PPBUS_G3H. So charging circuit looks OK and the computer is working!
I'm wondering if there is way to check it is indeed a bad battery or bms? How can I check that? I do have 12V at battery cell level. On Q7055 aswell Gate and Source have 12,6V, so current goes through. What keeps the Gate on 12,6V instead of 4V-isch?
