The only boardview that I can find for this is in Allegro format but the free viewer won't open it because it's an old format. It says it needs to be converted with DB doctor, a program that I don't have and doesn't seem to come with the free viewer. It would be useful to have something that can be opened with OpenBoardView because I use linux most of the time.

1.1.3 Motherboard model number
Motherboard model number is the most useful if you are troubleshooting a motherboard problem. It helps finding pictures, schematics, boardviews, known issuesā¦
There is always a number written on the board itself. In some cases there's also a sticker that tells a variant.
There are several different board manufacturers, common ones are:ā
Compal: found in HP, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo⦠Model number is "LA-xxxxP" (P is optional), the older, the lower the number is. Like LA-4082P from 2007 or LA-E541P from 2017.ā
So, Compal LA-E672P.

I found another boardview file for this, a link from this youtube video.

I don't know what format it's meant to be but It has a .cad extension and opens with OpenBoardView. It looks allot more useful than the Allego one.Comment

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by MMH3Hello,
after seraching a long time i not can find a schematic or boardview for the DELL Optiplex 5070 SFF. gen 8/9 CPU
The numbers on the mainboard i found and searched for are:
Dell P/N
CN-0YJMC0-FCW00-04T-00QR-A02 (white sticker)
further i found
E93839 and BN0628 (printed on the board)
But those two seem to be a kind of general numbers.
Because i have“this E93839 on many boards here from the SFF 30xx/50xx/70xx series and they are all really technical very different boards, showing the same E93839
The BN.. number...-

Hello!
I run a dell rugged extreme as my main computer, and have linux installed. All is well! However, after plugging in a friends power adapter to test it (it turned out to be broken), my USB-C port has stopped working. This isn't the end of the world, since I can still charge with a good old-fashoned 19V barrel power, but I'd like to fix it.
The port shows up to the operating system, but does not provide power to devices plugged into it, nor can it receive power. I have tried cleaning it.
I strongly suspect that the physical port itself is damaged, and would... - Loading...
