Neither of those look quite right; but I realized that the EBay motherboard was actually fairly cheap (which makes sense, since its somewhat defective); so I just went ahead and ordered it. I'll keep this post updated with any more details I get, but I think this is the easiest way to replace the port; and I'll have spare parts for if another component goes bad.

Without fully removing the motherboard (which i'd like to avoid until its time to repair, as the laptop still works and motherboard removal also requires heat sink removal), the best I can do is picture of the shield that goes over the connector. Obviously, it's a little bit tricky to spot the pinout from this position. I've attached pictures from Dell's service manual, which shows the part zoomed-in and with the shield, as well as cropped from an ebay-listing, which shows it blurry but without the shield.
I went looking on Northridge Repairs website, but found nothing that looked...

Dell Lattitude 7424 Broken USB-C Port
Hello!
I run a dell rugged extreme as my main computer, and have linux installed. All is well! However, after plugging in a friends power adapter to test it (it turned out to be broken), my USB-C port has stopped working. This isn't the end of the world, since I can still charge with a good old-fashoned 19V barrel power, but I'd like to fix it.
The port shows up to the operating system, but does not provide power to devices plugged into it, nor can it receive power. I have tried cleaning it.
I strongly suspect that the physical port itself is damaged, and would...
