    Schematics DAX38CMBAG0 REV : G

    Good morning,

    I have an HP Spectre X360 15-df0002nf Laptop.

    It doesn't start at all.

    I obtain only 6v on mosfet 3P7R0E on the gate. I get 19v on the mosfet located just to the right of the first (on the gate).

    I need to understand why i have only 6v on the first mosfet. ​

    Do you have the boardview and schematic of this motherboard please ?

      I tried to use this method:

      Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

      Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
      Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
      Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

      Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
      Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the      ...

      Good time of day to all,

      I have a laptop - PC Specialist PC50DS - that I am attempting to repair.
      (Also manufactured and (was) sold under names of Clevo PC50DS and Schenker XMG 15 Pro)

      Laptop is:
      • Not powering on
      • Not taking charge.


      Before I proceed, I would like to add some context: I am by no means experienced in laptop board repair. I have one repair under my belt, for which I had access to Boardview schematics (.brd), which helped me greatly by being able to see HOW and WHAT WITH each component interacts and "Follow the circuit"....

      Hello everybody,
      One of my friends brought me his brother's laptop to repair, I'm the third person who put the hands on this laptop (he tried to convince his brother to take it to me for the ram upgrade, dust cleanup and thermal paste replacement but he wanted to make it to his university friend... sorry if I say that, but we saw the result).
      The laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 with AMD Ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU.

      I'm going to give a quick recap of what happened before I got this laptop for repair to make clear the situation.

      Hello everyone,

      Initially I bought the laptop with no screen issue. It was powering up without any signal to the display (neither internal, nor HDMI).

      I started taking some measurements across the board, when I accidentally shorted something and heard a little clicking noise. Laptop wasn't powering on afterwards.

      I bought a thermal camera and a power supply to try to find the short.
      I was measuring it on the output of the resistors that are placed right after the second power MOSFET (pic1.jpg attached).
