Re: Lenovo B560
You won't find a schematic for this mainboard (Wistron LA-56), at least i didn't. The Wistron LA-46 board is very similar, you can use that schematic as a guide, it's available on several sites for free. The only part that's different is the main 3.3v and 5v supply, everything else is the same.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.

V570 is Ivy Bridge, V560 is Sandy Bridge. Totally different designs.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.

Re: Lenovo B560
Does yours run very cool at idle but throttles and even shuts down sometimes if you put 100% load on the CPU, like Prime or IntelBurnTest?
The i3 M 370 in my V560 does that, and i'm wondering whether it's just an undersized heatsink or i have to finally stop being a cheap ass and spend some $$ on high quality thermal paste.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.

Regarding thermal paste and being "cheap":

Since the mainboard is a Wistron, does that mean the whole laptop is ODM and not made by Lenovo? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.
