Hello everyone,
Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what is the difference
What is the difference between BIOS and Schematic requests?
This is the second time I write in the forum about the same computer with the same problem from a year ago that has not been resolved.
I have a laptop model: ProBook 430 G5 2VP86EA
With motherboard model: DA0X8BMB6F0 rev F
BIOS chip model: Gigadevice HH1742 25B127DSIG AP15471 3.3v
I bought a bios chip for this motherboard model from Ebay, but it is not the same chip model (GigaDevice 25Q128CSIG which is only 3v and I don't know if it safe to replace it with my locked chip that work on 3.3v) and I have no soldering knowledge.
The local HP service provider in Israel is only willing to replace the motherboard that costs like a new computer and I don't want pay so much.
I search a lot on this topic in the recent months and I understand that HP in the past was send HPBR software to customers to unlock the BIOS Password but they refuse to do that. I guess keeping a green environment doesn't interest them.
Why replace a working motherboard if it is technically possible to release the password lock with the help of software? I even asked to pay them for this software but they refuse.
Now I have no solution or support except to consult you smart people on this site. I want to ask you:
If I find a USB Programmer model that has software that can read and write to the BIOS chip model in my computer,
Is it possible to read and write on the bios chip using a clip cable while the chip is still soldered to the motherboard without having to solder the chip from the motherboard?
I don't want to break the site rules
I am not asking you to recommend me a particular model of USB PROGRAMMER
I searched on different websites and saw a model Laqiya T48 (TL866-3G) programmer
I don't even know if it supports my computer's bios chip model.
I sent a message to the store but they don't answer me. I don't want to just buy something that I can't use because I have no knowledge or experience in soldering.
If you could help me with any information I would really appreciate it. This problem has been going on for over a year on my computer.
Thank you very much everyone.
