You chip should be more than 8MB! upload image for your bios chip or write what's written on it. Also try to read your chip again.

Oh dear, maybe I've been clipping onto a chip that does something else…
After careful disassembly and examination of the MB this was the only seemingly relevant chip I found.

Is not it. Find any chip with or without pins with 128 on the face of the chip, for example 25Q128V.....

I found a suspicious looking Winbond chip in the right location and reading it at the moment... 32mb too!

OMG, you're an actual living legend, it booted and has come back to life!!

I can't believe it and never thought I could actually fix it along with soldering tiny wires to the bios chip!

                        Hello there!
                        I got a ThinkPad X1 Extreme (1st gen), that won't Post - just a black screen.
Since I was unable to extract the BIOS from the update I can download, I would be extremely happy, if someone could try to clean my BIOS for me.

                        Model: 20MF-000RGE
                        S/N: R9-0RPLRA
                        18/09

Please find the original dump attached.

Sadly, it did not change the behavior.

The Machine does appear to be RAM-Training (one reboot after CMOS-Reset).
Then it stays on, CPU gets warm, fans spin up, but the screen stays off (external screen also).
When I take RAM out, I get a peep-code, but the with RAM installed, there is not beep code and also no diagnostic LEDs on the Keyboard.
I guess, the CPU might be braindead or is there something more than can be done to the BIOS?

Good day. Guys, help me with the BIOS.
                                      Laptop
                                      Lenovo ThinkBook X1 Extreme 1st 20MF
                                      S/N: R9-0SP28W

The BIOS is damaged. I found the BIOS in this thread and installed it for myself. The laptop started and works fine, but I had a password on the BIOS and on the downloaded correct BIOS there is also another one.

Is it possible to fix my old BIOS? Or remove the password from what is posted here in this thread. Bios 32Mb.

I beg you to help me, I can't choose boot options to launch other systems

Thank you very much in advance

Thanks for any help. The board version is DAZAARMB6E0 REV: E. The bios chip is winbond 25Q64JVSIQ1736. W25Q64JV is not available in AsProgrammer -- only BV CV FV or FW_1.8c. The chip won't interface with asProgrammer and a CH341A. When I have this chip on the board, the laptop will not post but when I plug it in to power, the blue LED lights up, also the orange when the battery is connected. When I push the power on button, keyboard backlight turns on and the fan starts briefely then turns off. But I can't do anything to program this bios chip so I bought another one.

                                          The BIOS...

Asus Chromebox CN62 - wrong chip put on BIOS reader
                                          by BMCappelletti
                                          Long story short:
                                          - dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
                                          - gave the computer to his son a couple years later
                                          - son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
                                          - too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
(seems like the story was not that short)

He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8...

Hello, first of all, excuse me, I am using the translator, English is not my native language.

                                          I have a Lenovo ideapad 330S - 14IKB laptop.

The tablet did not recognize me when I connected it, so I checked the device manager and I realized that there were many with the exclamation mark, so one by one I began to update their drivers until the sign disappeared of admiration, I even updated the BIOS, and the laptop rebooted normally and worked, so far so good, but the tablet still did not recognize me, I read on the internet that it could be due to a...

Hello, after what is seems like a bad BIOS firmware upgrade, the machine had extrange visual glitches and froze.
The laptop now does not turn on as normal, and does not make post or show the BIOS page: It will stay at a blank page with beeping sounds: https://youtu.be/OC2o9_b1RQ0

I'm planning to flash the bios chip with a CH341A, but it seems that they are three chip candidates:
                                          1. Winbond 25Q80DVSIG (3V 8M-bit) Located on the GPU board
                                          2. MXIC 25U8035F (1.8V 8M-bit) Located on the GPU board
                                          3. Winbond 25Q80DVNIG (3V 8M-bit) Located on the CPU board
                                          4. Winbond W25Q256JV (3V 256M-bit)
                                          ...
