Hello, I have a 7410 S/T F6DBC93-8FC8 motherboard is model LA-J261P. I've been trying to learn how to do these unlocks because I work at a refurbisher and although I can get this one into manufacturing mode, etc. The password is coming back after exiting manufacturing mode. On several other laptops I've been able to successfully remove 8FC8 locks so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong here. Attached is my original UC5 dump if someone could help me unlock it maybe I'll learn.Attached FilesComment

Thank you! this worked and I see where I was making a mistake. I've watched hours of youtube on this. It took my way too long to figure out removal of MDM lock but I'm 100% on it now. Knowing what to search for is half the battle sometimes. hah.Comment

Thanks guys, worked perfect, not sure if it was my mistake but when it powered up for the first time it went to factory mode, and in the bios it requested me to re enter the service tag and asset tag details. Apart from that it works fine,,,thanks againComment

Got another one from same customer
Dell Lattitude 7410
SN:2020AP2584
SERVICE TAG:2X5H2J3

Just wanted to ask,,,, i compared the unedited bios from the fisrt 7410 from couple days ago to the one im working on today and at the first hex offset the data is different so i am unsure if this would affect the outcome to corrupt the bios if i changed the four bits of data to put it into factory mode
I think windows may have updated the bios on this one and thats why its different ?
anyway i have uploaded the untouched bios read from the sencond laptop
Thanks again

Thanks SMDflea..... just passing on my experience of the process for others. I read up on the method on this thread and learned about the 4 bits that need set to put the laptop back into factory mode. I've tried to use this method for the 2nd same model laptop form same customer, but ive noticed the bin file is not the same, possibly due to windows updating the bios before i removed the chip. I'm not sure, but ive made a new post today.Comment
