    Thinkpad E14 black screen

    Hello guys,
    I got laptop E14 as non-working.

    type: 20RA001EMC
    motherboard: NM-C421

Laptop reacts to the power button, but no picture, no vcore. I dumped bios, cleared ME but no impact. I pushed bios from slighlty different E15 laptop cleared here on forum. Laptop went alive, vcore on, picture showed:
    0271: check date and time
0183: bad CRC of security settings in Efi
    bios is under password.

Then I rutned off laptop, turn on again and it returned to 1st state - no picture, no vcore. Then I experimented with various BIOSes (E14, E15, cleared ME,..) without any particular result - black screen, no vcore. After multiple flashes Iam sometimes able to reach error screen with 0271 and 0183 but its aprox 1 out of 5 flashes..
I uploaded both bioses - original dump and working for a while.

Iam little bit lost, Iam not able to 100% replicate even the error screen. Do you have any idea, what would be the suggestions? EC chip itself?

    thank you for any hint

This thread might help - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=104478 .Ec or patching,i don`t know which one will work. Some of the errors can be solved with the lenovo maintenance disk or other DMI tools

yes, this I went trough, unfortunately DXE driver (autopatcher) not working for this and I do not ahve programming device for EC. Probably need to wait until "the successor" will arrive.

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen 10 - Flickering Screen
                    by Ado02
                    Hello everyone,

We recently replaced the OLED screen on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Gen 10. After about a month, the replacement screen began to flicker. Initially, updating the Intel® Iris® Xe graphics driver resolved the issue for about a week. However, when the problem recurred, updating the driver again had no effect.

The flickering only occurs once the system reaches the Windows login screen. Interestingly, if we disable the Intel GPU driver or connect the laptop to an external monitor, the flickering stops. We have tried installing two different replacement screens,...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                    by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen3 stuck on "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen
                    by BMCappelletti
                    Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

ThinkPad P15s Gen 1, NM-C931 REV 1.0 touch screen replaced only works in UEFI menu
                    by Yehuda170
original screen was BOE NV156FHM-T07 with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

replaced with what was in my stock, which is IVO R156NWF7 R2 which is also with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

now touch screen works perfectly in UEFI BIOS menu & boot menu. but not working in OS, tried windows & linux too

with original broken screen i can see in device manager touch screen in human interfaces

but with the new screen it's not showing in device manager

is it lenovo blocking it? is it driver missing?

                    I²C is a headache
