I have a Dell Latitude 5420 (tested without HDD) and I’m running a diagnostic tool such as Aiken Workbench. The problem is that the tool detects the onboard LAN card, but it shows the message:
    "no working driver for it"
and the test result is NO Driver.

Interestingly, when I install Windows, the LAN card works perfectly fine, which confirms that the hardware itself is okay. I have tried multiple cables and diagnostic environments, but the result is the same.

For comparison, I have a BIOS dump from a working unit and another from the problematic unit. The file sizes are identical. I suspect the issue might be related to a missing or corrupted PXE/UEFI network driver module in the firmware.

    My questions:
    • Has anyone experienced this issue before?
    • What are the recommended steps to add the proper LAN driver to a diagnostic/WinPE environment, or to safely repair the firmware?
    • If no solution can be found, I would appreciate it if any expert who knows how to fix this fault could contact me privately to suggest the right approach.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Dell Latitude 5431 issues with dumping bios
    by Sathsul
So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...

    🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
    by macabook
    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
    🧩 Initial Issue
    • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
    • External display (HDMI) shows
