Could you please help me to clear the password from this .bin file? I used vertyanov to read the EC but I don't understand how to clean the ME region myself.

This is the original bios I red with vertyanov programmer. The laptop is Lenovo thinkpad x390 yoga TP00107A, with a NUVOTON embeded controller, NPCE388.

if you want to clean the ME region ... it is in another chip on the motherboard, not in the I / O chip..and you will need an SPI programmer to extract the content..for the password ... read this ..

Yes you are right it is a mistake. My goal is to remove the bios password. I'm wondering if by reading the EC, then writing a "blank" .bin file on it and then writing back the dump of the original EC, it would remove the password, as it seems to be suggested in the thread BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools

On the latest generations of ThinkPads, the security issue that allowed to inject the DXE driver and bypass the password does not exist anymore. The password is still stored inside the EC, in a write-only region.

And with this method should I also flash the MAIN bios or will it work just by programming the EC? Do you think it could work with NPCE388 chip?

I cleared the bios. but it probably did restore from disk.

it's original, probably sas io version 3.2, i don't remember exactly. device in the shop. I occasionally write for the lenovo series. I can also type from the keyboard. but it seems a bit unfamiliar to me. With rt809f, I can remove and write items. I don't know how to clean ec which is problem for me. My English is limited, I have difficulties in research. I do bios cleanup without any problems.

I also don't know how to add new ite en nuvoton routes. You wrote your ways on the site. but i can probably handle it. I think it is a txt file.

For example, I saw it in the other post and immediately understood. You started from the biosimg line. Clean bios between 1000000. Is there such a situation in nuvoton, how is it cleaned, let's say I read it with sasio

Sorry i never unlocked this model so i can`t help, there`s other members who are more experienced in this area than me,and some of them might have the SAS programmer. By the way,if its aSAS its not genuine.

Hi,
I have this Lenovo ThinkPad X390, Tried Lenovo autopatches few times, after writing Patched File, the Laptop starts Self healing Bios set up even I keep the bottom tamper button pressed.
Could anyone please remove the password for me.
