I am working on this Hp 15-dy1731ms MB DAG71MB16D0 Rev C, not Powering on. I get 3.3V on the ON/OFF assuming that the IO chip is good. Attaching the Original BIOS. If someone can rectify this, I would really appreciate. BIOS is programmed to Winbond 25Q128JVSQ. Thanks in advance. NB S.No: 5CD93761V8 Model 15-dy1731ms

Kindly inform me how to do it or pls. do it for me. I programmed the chip & now I see life in the board, the White LED on the DC-in jack blinks for 3 sec & then turns off. Hi "hoaca388" I re-programmed but still the same, I press the ON/OFF switch & the white LED on the DC-in jack blinks 3 times & then shuts down. This happen when again the switch is pressed. I think problem is in the motherboard. Anyway I have opened a new thread "https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105397" , kindly if you can share some tips & experience of yours in there. Thank you very much.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by iulik17dHello everyone!
The Asrock A380 low profile card (ID 8086 56A5 - 1849 6006) have an power limit of 45W. Intel removed the possibility to increase power using the software utility, anyway the card is in an proxmox machine that doesn't run windows.
The same hardware is in another form by the name Asrock A380 Challenger that have the same VRMs and the power limit is at 60W. I searched online and found on another website an .bin bios file from the Challenger variant, that I flashed using an CH341a. Flashng worked well, I put the card in PC and booted. GPUz shows that new device ID is 8086...-

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by NopslideHello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....-
