Enter the bios and restore the security settings to defaults and restart the laptop

outch. okay, why though? what i heard is, that there is "patch", but it costs around 20 $ or so... can't find anything about this method. do you have a clue?

Have you tried editing the 16MB file ?

i didn't edit anything, but the 32 mb bios for clear me. sadly the bios came from another mainboard that was fried. the repaired board didn't had the rom ics on it... so i had to take the others. since then i encounterd this error...

i would like to extract the bios from the original hp bios side, without dmi info, but they changed something, so the extraction isn't possible anymore?

Flash this file, trying go into bios setting on the first boot for disable all the security options.

well, the error message disappeared!!! i'll lock the mpm and report! wow, very nice so far. what have you done? i tried to unlock the mpm via bcu, but access was denied... thank you for sharing your information :o)

oh okay, you deleted the dmi info? did you manage to extract the original bios from the hp website?
