    HP 850 G1 - Information on 2 chips ?

    Hello,

Just to verify 2 small problems.

Bought unknown condition 850 G1 on sale.

Removed the board from the entire housing.
Plugin power (genuine HP) CPU heats up , no lights ,nothing, not even fan spin...

    Will check first BIOS.

    But clarification ,is needed.

    U366 is BIOS Region?
    U365 is ME region ?

    Update.

I've tried all the BIOS Dumps i find here, and the laptop went to "stable" mode light power on.

So the power on light remains on no blinking
    No sound
    No image
    No fan spin

But the CPU is getting hot...

    Any suggesitons?

If the PCH is getting hot without pressing the start button its dead.

If you turn it off, and it stays off, the laptop remains cool.
You press the power button ,everything heats up but nothing on screen.

The "fault" of turning on without pressing the power button was because i didn't install CMOS battery (so as soon as i plugged in charger ,then it automaticcally was turning on).

The original BIOS dump doesn't exist..

All the rest information will be shared by morning

              Thanks for that.

The motherboard will be silkscreened with a long part number like

                  6050A2560201-MB-A03

But nothing, at least now it "turns" on ,when i want it to turn on . and not by itself.
Lights go on , fan spin , no image, and i hear a really high pitch noise, but cannot find where is the problem...

Best place to source RAM chips? 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB
                        by ugamazing
I'm looking to upgrade several 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB for personal use. I am curious what the best practice and process is for sourcing new replacement chips, and what vendor(s) you guys prefer? Another question is, how do I find compatible chips and their corresponding part/model numbers? For example, in the 820-00850 schematic, the DDR chip U2600 model listed (EDFB232A1MA) corresponds to 1x32GB chip. Of course, I would need 4x8GB chips to replace the 4x2GB chips currently on the board. How do I find compatible 8GB chips? Is it as simple as searching "BGA178 8GB 2133"...

[HELP] ME Region Cleaning Request – Motherboard GK5MP5X 1.0
                        by Destroyer-Br
I’m working on a laptop in which I replaced the PCH, but I’m unable to clean or rebuild the Intel ME region using FIT.
When I load my dump into FIT, it only shows the Intel(R) ME Kernel section. The full ME region structure does not appear.

If I manually replace the ME region inside the decomp folder and try to build the image, FIT does generate an outimage.bin, but the file is corrupted.
After flashing it, the board does not power on — no signs of life.

I’ve identified that the issue happens because my original dump does not contain a complete or valid ME...

                        Hi,
I asking for help on some new WSON8 256MB chips. Please share your experience. I faced error on some new chips on read, erase, write with different programmers. These new chips are not exist in any programmers database. (GD25B256D, XM25RH256, W25Q256JV so on.)
                        I'm using RT809F V.5.0, EZP2023 Pro, CH341A Green

For the exact experience with GD25B256DYIG is RT809F erase the chip under 33sec. This kind of 256MB chip normal erase time is 70-120sec so I think not all the partitions are erased. If I do blank check or reread the buffer says FFFFFF but when I write the correct...

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
                        by m1ch43lzm
                        Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                        Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...
