Fixing corrupt lenovo thinkpad P50 bios

    Hello,
I would like to lern how to fix a corrupt lenovo bios myself, so i dont need to ask for help every time

Could someone point me to the tools and any other info used for this.
And i need to know which parts of the original bios are needed and wich can be used from some other working bios.

Things i successfully did so far:
    Unlocking
    Cleaning ME

At the moment i am working on a P50 with 4 beeps.
If i flash patched bios, the laptops boots, but i cant enter the bios or anything else.

    Any help apprechiated.

      Re: Fixing corrupt lenovo bios

Cleaning ME was the nfirst thing i tryed.
But even with the cleaned ME i get 4 beeps.

I am sure there is something with bios, because it boots with patched bios (gets stuck at lenovo Logo, or no picture if i try to enter the bios)

      P50 4 beeps - TCG-compliant functionality-related problem (might bethe TPM initialization failure)

Any other steps i can take ?

              Hello,
I am trying to do the same for another dead P50. No sucess so far
If i understand correctly you replaced BIOS Region.bin in FIT with $0AN1E00.fl1 extracted from update on the site.
The problem i have is that BIOS Region.bin is larger than $0AN1E00.fl1. All the info i could find online shows larger FL1 which you than fix in hex editor.
I attached the bios fron the current patient
              Any pointers aprechiated.

enter the update in the HxD program, and cut it to the correct dimensions.

In my case the FL1 file was a little smaler than bios region in FIT from original dump.
Can i just change it ? I tryed but still not working

                      by grimacelord
                      Hello there.

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

                      History:

                      1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

I searched for this error online and discovered...

                      Model: ThinkPad L15 G3 21C3-0016GE

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help

I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...
The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge

Should I buy a Lenovo Thinkpad E495 with bios password?
                      by RMDUiFT
Good day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.

                      I have a few questions:
                      • If I would buy this laptop and have
                      ...

                      by akwky
                      Hi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...

                      by Wahaz
                      Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....
